The home of accessible and inclusive careers support.

We’re SIC, a social enterprise dedicated to closing the disability employment gap in the UK. We provide free resources, events, and career programmes that are designed by and for disabled, neurodivergent, and chronically ill professionals.

We work with businesses, too, coaching them on how to create more accessible and inclusive workplaces, and helping us to fund the lovely work we do here. If you’re a business, this site here is for you.

Learn from career experts with lived experience of disability at our free events.

Our free events run as regularly as we can manage. Each year, we host:

  • An annual, in-person conference.

  • Drop-in career clinics that are an opportunity for us to work collaboratively on your career challenges.

  • Webinars with expert speakers and panellists.

  • Events that you ask for.

Our in-person events are always supported by BSL.

I’ve been so pepped up and inspired - I’ve already written to our Chief Executive to suggest having an external consultant look at accessibility and staff inclusion. I have a meeting set up with another head of Department to share some thoughts and learnings following the clinic today.
— Career Clinic Attendee
It wasn’t until I took part in the SIC Reverse Job Fair programme that things started to look a little brighter for me. It gave me the space to take a step back, reassess my skills, and think about what I really wanted to do. I realised that my creativity and passion for advocating for people, especially other autistic people and those dealing with mental health struggles, were actually things I should focus on in my work life.
— Rianne Walker
From my very first interaction with Alice, I felt heard, supported and safe. Safe enough to disclose that I was currently an inpatient and that I would miss the first in-person event due to hip replacement surgery. Unlike other career services that offer generic advice, SIC took the time to understand my unique situation and goals, ensuring my health and healing period were not neglected in the process.
— Sadeh Graham
My time at SIC has been an invaluable experience in which I’ve mastered key marketing skills including content management, data analysis, communication and most importantly, confidence. I wouldn’t have been able to boss a job application, let alone an interview without the support from the traineeship.
